Brief
Beauquet is a modern art gallery that specialises on floral representations. More than 50 international artists work with a variety of mediums at the gallery, which helps with the development of artist publications. The exhibition of gallery artists’ work at art fairs, public galleries, museums, and other institutions all over the world.
Objectives
The objective of Beauquet was to establish a contemporary art gallery brand centred on floral representation, with a tone that feels modern, curated, and international. The project also aimed to communicate that the gallery supports a large roster of artists working across multiple mediums, while helping develop artist publications and expand visibility through art fairs, museums, and other institutions. Overall, the intention was to translate the gallery’s identity into a clean, exhibition-ready visual design that feels professional and accessible.
Creative process
I started by defining the gallery’s core positioning as a modern, floral-focused space with an international artist roster, and identifying the key information that needed to be legible at a glance. From there, I explored a few layout directions focused on clear hierarchy, using a bold title, readable body copy, and generous negative space to keep the design feeling “gallery-like.” I then developed a floral visual language and refined colour, contrast, and typography to support clarity and a contemporary tone. Finally, I iterated quickly on composition and finishing details such as alignment, spacing, and overall polish before exporting the final presentation file.
