About the project
Greenthumb is a service firm that helps plants grow faster. They care about the quality of their products, especially the satisfaction of their customers.
Objective
The goal of this project is to create a logo for the firm that is simple, memorable, long-lasting, and adaptable.
Creative process + Challenge
To describe what type of abstract symbol I want to use, I conducted some thinking and created a word cloud. I begin by drawing as many possible designs as I can think of after conducting research and putting down my objectives. I begin by drawing the logo design in black and white using simple shapes. In reality, the logo design has an abstract symbol that represents a movement and has a deeper significance. In addition, I go through my sketches and strive to improve three of them. Only two colours are used to denote the objectives. Finally, I choose the one that best suits the needs of the firm.
Result
The final mark translates Greenthumb's growth-focused identity into a simple, abstract symbol suggesting upward movement that is legible at business-card scale and just as strong on packaging or signage. Narrowing from three initial concepts down to a two-color palette kept the logo flexible enough for varied applications without losing its identity.
